Migration Planning / KPI Tracker Template
§6.5What this is for: Track migration KPIs with configurable metrics and reporting templates.
What a good answer looks like: A trend, not a snapshot. Two data points is a line; the value starts at the third.
Worked example: Set the program start year and switch the "View as" role: the vendor, FIPS, threat and compliance KPIs auto-score from your Migrate catalog and assessment, Pace-to-Deadline becomes a real number, and the trend fills in as later assessments add snapshots.
Runtime and privacy: This planning tool runs in your browser. Use synthetic or approved organizational data and review the site privacy terms before entering sensitive material.
For your role
- Executive / Business Leader
- Set the programme start year and switch View as to Executive: Pace-to-Deadline becomes a real number and the vendor, FIPS, threat and compliance KPIs score from your Migrate catalogue and assessment.
- GRC / Risk & Compliance
- Enter the scores you can evidence, note which KPIs are auto-scored from live data and which need input, and export the .csv each period: the trend fills in as later assessments add snapshots.
Pre-filled from your assessment. Tracker auto-scored from 888 catalog products.
Live Data Integration
KPIs with data dependencies are auto-scored from your Migrate catalog, threats data, assessment, and compliance selections. Locked rows require assessment or compliance data to unlock.
Set this to compute a real Pace-to-Deadline score — your PQC-readiness progress vs. the straight-line pace expected between the start year and your target deadline (50 = on track, >50 = ahead). Until set, Pace-to-Deadline stays a manual slider.

Migration progress — executive lens.
Weights sum to 29% — overall score auto-normalises.
Systems Inventoried
Percentage of systems scanned for cryptographic usage (CBOM coverage).
Algorithms Migrated
Percentage of quantum-vulnerable algorithms replaced with PQC or hybrid alternatives.
Vendor Readiness
Tiered PQC-ready share of the product catalog (Full=1.0, Hybrid=0.7, Pilot=0.4, Roadmap=0.2, None=0).
FIPS-Validated Deployment
Percentage of catalog products with FIPS 140-2/3 validation certificates.
Compliance Gaps Closed
Select compliance frameworks in the assessment to enable auto-scoring.
Pace-to-Deadline
Select a country with a mandatory PQC deadline in the assessment to enable pacing.
Threat Exposure
Inverse of critical + high industry-scoped threats (higher = lower exposure).
Budget Utilization
Percentage of allocated PQC migration budget spent on plan (target range: 70–90%).
How this is scored: each KPI's 0–100 value is multiplied by its weight, summed, and divided by the total weight of the KPIs included — a weighted average. KPIs that are locked (no data available) or not yet scored are left out of both halves of that division rather than counted as zero, so an unscored KPI does not drag the headline down. It also means the score describes only the KPIs you have actually scored: 3 of 9 here. Weights are the per-persona defaults unless you have edited them.
KPI Tracker Export
Export the KPI tracker (markdown, CSV, or PDF) with the current persona lens, scores, and data sources.
